Ino, Shikamaru, and Chouji vs Sound Nin Trio

Winner: Sound Nin Trio
Chouji who uses the double weight jutsu and then uses meat tank to become something much like a human pinball. He rolls at an extremely fast rate towards Zaku who then uses his air cutter to blast sound waves at Chouji, holding him back momentarily. After a tand still, Chouji goes flying up into the air. Dosu goes to save Zaku before he gets flattened by Chouji, but is stopped by Shikomaru's Shadow Imitation technique. Zaku jumps out of the way at the last second before Chouji lands on him. Ino then tells Shikomaru to take care of her body as she uses the mind transfer technique on Kin. Zaku gets out of the way of another one of Chouji's attacks, and asks Kin what's wrong with her. Kin (Ino now) opens her eyes and holds a shiruken up to her neck, telling the other sound nins that if they move then this girl is toast. She then tells them to leave their scroll and once they are far enough away, they'll let Kin go. Zaku and Dosu just smile. Zaku then points his arm towards Kin but it is blocked by chouji at the last minute. Inokin goes flying into a tree and blood comes out of Ino's mouth (Ino's real body). They all wonder why the sound nins would hurt their own team mates and Dosu explains that they don't care about scrolls or exams. Their only goal is Sasuke. Just then, Shikomaru's Shadow Imitation technique wears off (5 minute limit). Dosu then realizes that Ino is connected to Kin as a result of her technique so any negotiations are off. They would be capable of killing their team mate if they had to anyway. Shikomaru realizes that the current situation is "too troublesome" (that's like his catch phrase) and says it's time to stop.
Shikamaru vs Kin
Episode: 43
Winner: Shikamaru
This is the 6th match of the 3rd Test's P.M. Kin threw needles with bell on them. Shikamaru thought that she would throw one needle with a bell and one without and react according to sound.Kin threw more needles but Shikamaru dodged them easily. Shikamaru heard bell sound from the back so he turn around but nobody's there and saw a string. Kin threw a needle at Shikamaru. Luckily he blocked that critical needle with his arm. Kin tucked the string and made illusions to Shikamaru. You can say that is some kind of Genjutsu though. Kin threw 3 needles at shikamaru and wanted to throw again, but fourtanately she can't move thanks to Shikamaru's unexpected Kage Mane no Jutsu (Shadow Imitation Technique) and they threw shuriken together. They both dodged the shuriken but Kin hit the wall and fell unconcious.
Shikamaru vs Temari

Winner: Temari
This fight is interesting to say the least. It serves more as a way of describing Shikomaru but it's still a great fight. The fight begins with Shikomaru lying on the ground (he was pushed from the balcony to the arena by Naruto) with garbage (thrown by the spectators) all over him. Temari gets pissed and says "If you're not going to attack, I will!" She sprints over towards Shikomaru all determined while Shikomaru just pulls out two shiruken and says to himself "she seems excited over this..." Temari slams her closed fan onto the ground which creates a huge dust cloud. She looks at the rubble when the dust clears, and Shikomaru is standinng on the wall! He used the two shirukens to hold himself up at the last minute. Shiko tells Temari that he doesn't care if he becomes a Chounin, but a man certainly can't lose to a woman. So shiko decides to fight for real. Temari gets very pissed at this and waves her fan creating a huge gust towards Shiko. When the dust clears, he is gone again! Temari immediately knows that he is hiding in the part of the stadium with the most shadow. Sure enough, shiko is up in one of the trees inn the shady part of the stadium thinking to himself "but a man con't hit a woman either." Temari knows about shiko's shadow jutsus so she decides to keep her distance. Up in the stadium Ino is cheering enough for 20 people while chouji sits next to her with a huge bag full of potato chip bags. Down in the stadium shikomaru is spacing out, staring up into the clouds, "they're so nice...They're so free..." Then he thinks to himself that he only became a ninja because he wanted to live an fun life. Temari gets pissed again, thinking that Shikomaru is underestnimating her, and uses her main move, Sickling Winds. A HUGE gust of wind heads towards Shikomaru cutting up the trees around him. From the dust cloud Shikomaru's shadow stretches out for Temari. She flips back a few times and the shadow falls short by a few inches. Temari marks a line in the ground. She realizes that shikomaru has a limit to the distance, size, and transform his shadow. She uses her marker to tell where she is safe from the attack. Shikomaru just sits back ad starts day dreaming again. He then puts his hands together. Up in the stands, Kurenai wonders what kind of seal shikomaru is performing. Asuma explains to her that it is just a habit of his that he uses to come up with strategies. He then explains that although shikomaru is lazy, he is a tactical genius with in IQ over 200. He goes into talking about how shikomaru makes him play shougi with him (an japanese version of chess which correlates to war games). Down in the stadium shikomaru breaks his stance and pulls out a shuriken. Temari blows another gust of wind towards him. He hides behind a tree and takes off his jacket. Up in the audience Ino is anxious while chouji just says that shikomaru will give up soon. Temari blows another gust at shikomaru and a shuriken comes flying towards her. She dodges, and then blocks the second coming towards her from the left. Shikomaru's shadow comes for her again but Temari thinks she's safe since she's behind the line, but his shadow goes further than before. She realizes that shikomaru was just waiting for the sun to set so he could get better range. Temari thinks she better end it quickly before the sun sets, but then Kankuro yells over to her "watch out!!!" She looks up at the sky really worried as a second shadow forms in front of her. She quickly jumps back as the camera zooms in on a balloon that shikomaru made out of his coat and a shuriken. His shadow continues to follow her over towards the middle of the stadium. Temari continues to dodge until she is between the two holes in the middle fo the stadium (they were made during naruto and neji's fight) and once again out of range. Temari opens up her fan and worries about her time frame again. She hides beind her open fan and decides to make a replicant in order to catch shikomaru off guard and then finish him off herself. While she is performing the seals, she becomes frozen. Everyone is surprised. Shikomaru thought about a million steps ahead of Temari and purposley lured her between the holes so he could connect his shadow imitation technique to connect his shadow to the hole in front of Temari, and use the tunnel to attach his shadow from behind her. Shikomaru and Temari slowly walk towards each other. Everyone in th audience including the jounins and chounins are impressed with his intellect and tactical abilities. They all definately think he's chounin material. Shikomaru and Temari each hold up their right hands while up in the audience chouji starts eating like a machine. Temari quivers a bit, that is until shikomaru says "I lose. I give up." Everyone including (Temari especially) looks surprised to see this strange act. Chouji just laughs and says that no one knows shikomaru better than him. Temari asks shikomaru why he did this for her. He makes up some excuse about not having enough chakra yet, but everyone knows it's because of his moral code. fight over.
Shikamaru and Temari vs Tayuya
Episode: 119-125
Winner: Shikamaru and Temari
Naruto, Shikamaru, Kiba and Akamaru finally caught up with Tayuya and Sakon who was carrying Sasuke. Shikamaru catches Tayuya with his Kagemane no Jutsu. Kiba then grabs the coffin which contained Sasuke. But unfortunately, Kiba and his dog Akamaru was blown away by traps which left them fighting alone with Ukon. Shikamaru and Naruto was still recovering from the shock but suddenly Tayuya appeared behind them, saying, “Kimimaro . . .” A man named Kimimaro appeared and Naruto’s the one who’s gonna be his opponent. Meanwhile, Shikamaru was facing Tayuya and she begins to insult Shikamaru. Tayuya and Shikamaru talked for a bit, and Shikamaru prepares to performed another Kagemane no Jutsu. Tayuya then summon three zombies, and she prepares to play her flute. Tayuya, in the forest, begins to play, her lightning seal begins to crawl across the back of her neck. The zombie-monsters attack Shikamaru to the tune of her flute; there are too many of them, and he's ambushed. Shikamaru was really having a hard time fighting Tayuya. He was breathing hard whereas Tayuya was unwounded and she was still playing her flute.
Shikamaru calls out to Tayuya, he says it must have taken a lot of practice to make such a complicated note, the co-ordinated attack of the three monsters with their creepy sewn-shut mouths. Tayuya replied that the nelody is indeed difficult and she said that a person like Shikamaru wouldn’t ba able to understand it. Tayuya also added that nobody that has heard her melody lived, and she begin the ninth verse which is a new form of attack:
Tayuya’s 9th melody which is the Symphony of Pandemonium. The three monsters launch at Shikamaru, but as they do, the stitches that hold their mouths shut begin to tear. The mouths open, and a great bulbous white mass begins to emerge from each. Shikamaru flees as the creatures spit forth huge worms, covered with wide, sharp-toothed mouths, emerging from the mouths like a second, eldritch neck. One of them catches his arm as he runs, and where it bites him, his arm wobbles in substance rather than being torn; there is a bite-mark in it, but it looks like bitten jelly, not flesh. Shikamaru falls to a tree limb, cursing. The long neck-worm creatures loom over him, and he hurls a shuriken, then jumps away, leaving an explosive tag in his wake; he escapes in a smoke bomb.
In his hiding place, Shikamaru analyzes his wounds and he decided that if he wants to win this battle, he has to defeat the summoner. Shikamaru contemplates that Tayuya might be pretty good at shougi. He takes stock of his weapons as if he's playing such a game: 12 kunai, 9 throwing stars, 1 flashbang, 1 explosive tag. Not much; like playing a game without the knight and rook.
Shikamaru and Tayuya began to play a cat and mouse game. Shikamaru was hurling shurikens to Tayuya while she just dodge it. Four more kunai comes at her. Shikamaru reveals his position: behind her-another kunai flies at her, and the monsters knock into one another. But the true purpose of the kunai is now clear: it severs the string that had attached the flashbang to the placed kunai. As it falls, Shikamaru tells Tayuya that the best thing about shougi is the part where you can use captured enemy pieces as your own. The device explodes in a flash of light, and Tayuya suddenly understands the ruse: he has extended tha shadows using the bright light. Shikamaru has captured all three monsters with his Kagamane no Jutsu. Tayuya's incredulous. How could Shikamaru figure out the melody so well as to know where all three monsters would be? But Shikamaru said that he never listen to the melody, instead he just watch Tayuya’s finger movements on the flute.
Tayuya was surprised that Shikamaru can break her attack. Shikamaru then lays out the details for her: pointer and ring finger control; left middle and pinky move the big central monster. Shikamaru used all of Tayuya's attacks, as he dodged, as time to gather information.
Tayuya attempts to control her monsters but it was futile. Shikamaru tried to use the monsters to attack Tayuya through his Kagemane. Tayuya then dismiss her summoning thus the three monsters are gone. But then, Shikamaru has hold Tayuya with his Kagemane! It appears to be another part of his plan. Tayuya then, was forced to use the 2nd level of her curse. Horns spring from all sides of her skull, hair flowing free. Proclaiming that his shadow bind and all his tactics are now worth nothing, Tayuya manages to move within the bind through sheer chakra.
Shikamaru then prepares a new technique which is Ninpo Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu. Shikamaru's shadow stretches a hand up Tayuya's body. His shadow's applying real pressure now, like a real hand; but it can't do any damage, and Tayuya is able to bring her flute up and play a new melody: Illusion Harmony. The genjutsu quickly takes hold of Shikamaru, and he throws a dagger, blindly. It hits a tree. Shikamaru can't move his body; in his mind, he is on a barren plain strewn with skeletons, his limbs tied and spread by long ropes from a mirrored sky. Tayuya steps out of the broken Kage Mane no jutsu, and in the illusion, Shikamaru's flesh begins to melt off of the bones of his arm. He begins to scream. Tayuya then pulled Shikamaru’s dagger out of the tree and prepares to stab him but stops. She realize that Shikamaru has broken his index finger and has recover from the Genjutsu and he has been waiting perform another Kagemane no Jutsu towards her. But now, with the decreased distance, his shadow-neck technique will be effective. Tayuya curses herself for getting so close. As his shadow-hand closes in, Shikamaru explains: even the dagger was part of his plan; after Tayuya said the flute was her only weapon, he threw the dagger in front of her, missing on purpose, so that she would pick it up and try a close range attack.
Shikamaru’s broken finger grabs Tayuya with the Ninpo Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu. Shikamaru hits Tayuya’s gut but Tayuya manage to block him. Shikamaru pushes all his chakra into the technique, advancing closer to Tayuya's neck, but the strange horns that are the manifestation of her level 2 seal also grow, and she slowly pushes him off. Shikamaru knows that between his expended chakra and her enormous reserves, if he releases the shadow neck bind, Tayuya will kill him instantly. He concentrates one last time.
But Shikamaru is low on chakra, his shadow hand is receding across Tayuya's body, and now Shikamaru is frantically trying to think out a new kind of strategy. Tayuya realize that Shikamaru is running out of options, and Shikamaru's trying hard not to think about Asuma's last minute rescue, but all he can think about now is being rescued.
Shikamaru's wish comes through though, because Temari of the Suna Gakure just came in the middle of the battle.
