Hiashi Hyuga (ÈÕÏò¡¡¥Ò¥¢¥·, Hy¨±ga Hiashi?) is the twin brother of Hizashi Hyuga. Because he was born first, he became a member and eventual leader of the Hyuga clan's main house. He initially intended to pass this title onto his daughter, Hinata Hyuga, yet felt Hinata was of too inferior talent to give her such an honor. Since abandoning Hinata to train her younger sister instead, Hiashi has come to appreciate family more, and treats Hinata better than he once did. He also improves relationships with the clan's branch house by training Hizashi's son, Neji Hyuga, in violation of a Hyuga taboo of passing on clan secrets to branch house members.
